Oh No Snow White!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves was one of the first movies I saw as a child and it terrified me.  To this day I still cower away from trees near windows at night.

With the child like drawings being destroyed by a tree figure made of wall paper this painting displays the whirlwind of my childhood.  The shock on Snow White's face draws the eye to the mangled crayon flowers.  Bits of pearl tissue paper leads the eye to the branches tearing through more drawings.

The wallpaper, attached, but torn from the yellow wall, covering colorful stencils of animals.  Every bight image destroyed or covered by a foreign hand reaching across the painting.

It's violent, raw, emotional, my childhood through abstract adult  eyes.
